London to Bagga

I made it to Goa in one piece without getting lost! (thanks for the compass Hj - so far so good) Thats a first for me travelling, I normally end up doing something wrong somewhere! Although, I did have fun at Heathrow... the coach didnt take me to my terminal so I had to use the undergroud system.. Theres me stood in a darkened area  waiting for my tube train and all of a sudden realise why its so dark. Im wearing a long summery skirt, stood over the nice bright floor uplighters. I  must have looked like a Lampshade. Ah well, least I brightened someones life up

I waited in 2 1/2 hour queue to check in, only to find I didnt have a seat booked  Twenty minutes later, phone calls galore at last.....I do have a seat but Ive ben upgraded thats why they coulnt find me. So my fight to Mumbia was in luxury....

Mubia airport wasnt as bad as I thought it would be, I got  little confused trying to get a taxi to the Domestic airport to catch my connecting flight to  Goa. The drivers in India have there own set of rules... I dont think its the same as the driving laws.  Going round roundabouts is mayhem.......and at one point I closed my eyes an hoped for the best.

Flight up to Goa was great.... once outside saw my name on large card - my taxi that the hotel had sent.  One and half hour journey to Bagga.... I was told that the taxi was air conditioned - that means it had a window missing and to get any relief from the heat stick your head out and hope for a breeze as the taxi flits in and out of motor bikes, roaming cows, dogs, people, bycyles etc on a dusty uneven road...

Its quite a colourful, welcoming country, the women dressed in brigh colours, some wearing so much jewellry - must have weighed some!! The school kids in checked shirts and shorts, walking along in groups - totally oblivious to traffic beeping out every few minutes at them.  Loads an loads of motorbikes, passengers sit sideways on them here... looks very ladylike, and no helmits.

You take your life in your hands on the roads here.... scary!!
