I'm still waiting for my appointment grrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!

This is now holding me back and getting me down.

As is the norm with all things NHS i'm still waiting for the appointment for my surgery.

Right its time to tell you what it is i think. My surgery is for a circumcission. I was not happy when told it was my only option other than leaving it. It has preyed on my mind for some time and i have been too scared and embarrassed to do anything. I havnt been sexualy active for some time so felt no need to have it checked. But joining SH has helped me make my decision to overcome the embarrassment and have it seen to. It is the best thing to come out of me joining SH so far.

I've told all who i feel need to know about my little operation and got good feedback and support. I will post details at a later date and use this blog as a diary of that aswell as any happenings on my CD and other matters.

My little op is embarrasing but SH has helped me discuss such things with people (yes its of that nature) more than i ever would before. If i'd sorted this before joining SH as i should have done i would most likely have tried to keep it quiet even from my family. It's one thing SH and its users are so good at.

I was diagnosed with Crohns disease in 1999 and after several courses of steroid treatment and immuno suppressants had a small bowell resection in 2005 where a meter of small bowell was removed.

I'm still using immuno suppresants and have on the whole been well since the operation, only having slight flare-ups and the loss of 5 kilo's again but that has since ceased and have maintained the new weight since.

I was told on Monday i need some surgery for another problem though this is only minor and will be a day surgery.

This does not make me worry any less due to the nature off it and have made a few changes whilst i wait for and have the procedure.
